In this post I am going to invite you to test our new Mining and Warfare Servers.
The idea was to build a balanced middle between Asteroid Mining and upgradeable Warfare.
However now to the interesting topics:
1. Upgrade System
In order to allow you guys to spent your credits on your favorite weapon or your favorite items, we’ve built up a complete modular and easy to use upgrade system.
In order to buy upgrades you’ll have to visit one of the terminals and select the tab upgrades:
A new player has the ability to mine but not to use weapons.
In order to use weapons you have to buy the basic upgrade “Base Ship Weapons”.
If you bought the upgrade, all of your Ship Cores will start to recognize attached weapons.
Later on, if you’ve mined enough credits you’re able to buy another upgrade called “Upgradeable Weapons”, which will unlock the following upgrades for you:
2. New Core Systems
We’ve written a Ship Core System from scratch which is also integrated into our upgrade system and designed to be as easy as it could be.
In other words: You just have to spawn a Ship Core using the tool menu, attach it to your ship and it will calculate your ship’s health and weapon slots.
After buying the base upgrade “Upgradeable Shipcore”, you’ll be able to upgrade a Health Multiplier Upgrade and a Damage reduction upgrade in 3 different classes.
3. Mining
The first thing you will have to do is building a basic ship and starting to mine asteroids.
In order to mine asteroids, you’ll have to select the ‘Mining Devices’ tool from the Tab ‘Nightwire’ and spawn a mining laser and a mining storage.
If you got your ship able to fly, just target one of those asteroids and start the mining laser:
After you’ve gathered some resources, fly back to the terminal and sell them there:
Should be easy, huh?
4. Other Upgrades
Obviously there aren’t only upgrades for mining lasers, weapons and ship cores.
After unlocking the upgrade ‘Base Ship Extensions’ you’ll be able to unlock a hyperdrie and a mobile spawnpoint for now.
